Terms of Service

Updated: 28/01/2026

Effective Date: 28/01/2026

Welcome to LoveInvoice! By using our service, you agree to the terms below. We've kept them as clear and readable as possible — but they still form a legally binding agreement, so please read carefully.

1. Who We Are

LoveInvoice is a cloud-based invoicing platform operated by Ryan Stubbs trading as LoveInvoice, based in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at with any questions.

2. Using LoveInvoice & Acceptable Use

You may only use LoveInvoice for lawful, legitimate business purposes. You must not use LoveInvoice to:

  • Send spam, unsolicited communications, or mass invoice campaigns
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse any individual or organisation
  • Impersonate another business or individual
  • Create or send fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive invoices
  • Engage in phishing, scams, or payment redirection fraud
  • Infringe intellectual property or other legal rights
  • Upload malware, malicious code, or attempt to compromise the service
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, probe, or overload the platform
  • Circumvent usage limits, security controls, or access restrictions

You are responsible for ensuring that any invoice content, client data, or messages you create comply with applicable laws and regulations.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts immediately and without notice where we reasonably believe there has been abuse, fraud, or unlawful activity.

You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for any activity under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.

3. Plans and Payments

LoveInvoice is 100% free to use. You can create and send invoices with all features included at no cost.

Online Payment Processing

If you accept online payments through Stripe, a small processing fee applies: 1% of the invoice total. This fee covers the cost of processing payments and is non-refundable.

LoveInvoice does not charge subscriptions or recurring fees. You are responsible for ensuring that any payment instructions you provide to your clients are accurate. LoveInvoice does not guarantee payment collection or enforce invoices.

Non-Refundable Fees

Any Stripe processing fees taken by LoveInvoice are non-refundable under any circumstances. This includes cases where an invoice is not paid, partially paid, or disputed by a client.

4. Data and Privacy

We store certain personal data (like client names and emails) so you can send invoices. We handle your data in line with the UK GDPR and respect your privacy.

We never sell your data.

You can request to export your data at any time by contacting us.

We may use anonymised data to improve the service.

We may access your account data (like invoices or client information) if needed to:

  • Assist with support
  • Investigate or prevent abuse, fraud, scams, impersonation, or other illegal activity
  • Comply with the law

We handle all data confidentially and only access it when necessary. We never sell your data or use it for marketing.

If you close your account, we'll retain your data for up to 30 days in case you need to recover it. After that, we may delete it permanently unless we're required to keep it for legal or accounting purposes.

By using LoveInvoice, you agree that we may send you service-related emails (such as account alerts, invoice notifications, and legal updates). You can opt out of marketing emails at any time, but not essential service communications.

For more details, see our Privacy Policy.

5. No Professional Advice

LoveInvoice is a software tool for creating and managing invoices. It does not provide legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your invoices comply with applicable tax, VAT, accounting, and regulatory requirements. We are not responsible for errors, omissions, or compliance failures arising from your use of the service.

6. Service Availability

LoveInvoice is a cloud service — you don't need to install anything.

We aim for reliable uptime but don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance from time to time, typically between 3am and 4am UK time.

We also reserve the right to modify or remove features, but we'll try to give you fair notice if any major changes affect your usage.

7. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if:

  • You breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use rules
  • We reasonably suspect fraud, impersonation, or unlawful activity
  • Your use poses a security, legal, or operational risk
  • We are required to do so by law or a regulatory authority

Where possible, we'll try to notify you in advance, but we may act immediately if needed to protect LoveInvoice, our users, or third parties.

We may also close inactive free accounts after a reasonable period.

Our decisions regarding suspension or termination are made at our reasonable discretion and are final.

8. Liability Limitation

LoveInvoice is provided "as is” and "as available”.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, conditions, and representations, whether express or implied.

We are not liable for:

  • Loss of profits, revenue, business, or goodwill
  • Indirect or consequential losses
  • Loss of data not caused by our negligence
  • Errors in invoices or actions taken based on invoice content

Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in Stripe processing fees during that period.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

9. Your Content

Any content you create or upload while using LoveInvoice (like invoices, business details, and customer data) remains yours. You grant us a limited license to use that content only to operate, maintain, and improve the service. We don't claim ownership of your data, and we don't use it for marketing or unrelated purposes.

You are solely responsible for your relationship with your clients and any third parties whose data you upload to LoveInvoice. We have no contractual relationship with your clients and accept no responsibility for disputes, non-payment, or claims arising between you and them.

10. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to outages of third-party providers, internet failures, natural disasters, acts of government, or cyberattacks.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we do, we'll give reasonable notice by email or in-app before changes take effect.

We may assign or transfer these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled by UK courts.

13. Terms Agreement

These Terms and our Privacy Policy form the entire agreement between you and LoveInvoice. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remainder will continue in full force.
