LoveInvoice is a fully free invoicing platform. The only fees applied are Stripe processing fees (1%) for online payments. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use LoveInvoice, a service provided by Ryan Stubbs trading as LoveInvoice.
1. Who We Are

We may also collect anonymised usage data (via cookies, if you consent) to help us improve the app and understand how it’s being used.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Provide and improve the LoveInvoice service
- Deliver invoices and reminders (if applicable)
- Handle online payment processing through Stripe
- Respond to support requests
- Ensure security and prevent abuse
We do not:
- Sell your data
- Share your data with third parties for marketing without your consent
We may use anonymised or aggregated data (e.g. stats on invoice usage) to improve the service.
Stripe Fee Processing: When processing online payments via Stripe, LoveInvoice and Stripe handle the 1% processing fee applied to each invoice. These fees are non-refundable, and personal data is processed solely to complete the payment transaction.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
Under UK GDPR, we process your data:
- To perform our contract with you (e.g. send invoices, run your account)
- With your consent (e.g. if you opt-in to newsletters or optional cookies)
- To comply with legal obligations (e.g. accounting or anti-fraud)
- For our legitimate interests (e.g. improve security or features)
5. How Long We Keep Data
We retain data as long as you have an account, and for a reasonable time afterwards in case of:
- Legal or accounting requirements
- Support issues
You can request deletion of your account and data at any time.
6. Sharing Data
We only share your data with trusted third parties who help us deliver and improve the LoveInvoice service. This includes:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers (e.g. servers, database hosting, email delivery)
- Payment processors (Stripe, only when you accept online payments)
- Analytics partners (only if you give consent via cookie settings)
All third parties we work with are GDPR-compliant and only process your data under our instructions. Some may be based outside the UK or EU, but we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect your data.
We never sell your data or share it with advertisers without your explicit consent.
We may disclose personal data where required to do so by law, court order, or lawful request from a public authority.
Data Controller and Processors
For personal data relating to your account, LoveInvoice acts as the data controller. For client data you upload (such as invoice recipients), LoveInvoice acts as a data processor on your behalf.
For online payments, Stripe also acts as a data processor for the transaction data, and your data is handled under their privacy policies.
You confirm that you have the right to upload and process any client or third-party data you include in the service.
7. Your Rights (under GDPR)
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data

- Object to or restrict processing
- Export your data (data portability)
- Withdraw consent at any time (where relevant)
To exercise any of these, just email us at .

LoveInvoice uses cookies and local storage to improve your experience. These fall into two categories:
Essential Cookies (required)
We use these to:
- Keep you logged in
- Store your preferences
- Ensure the site functions properly
These cannot be turned off.
Optional Cookies (tracking/advertising)
With your consent, we may use additional cookies to:
- Help us understand how you use the site (analytics)

We do not use tracking cookies unless you’ve explicitly opted in.
Managing Preferences
You can review or change your cookie preferences at any time via the “Cookie Settings” link.

In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities where required by UK GDPR.
10. International Users
Although we’re based in the UK, LoveInvoice is open to international users. By using the service, you agree that your data may be stored and processed in the UK or within the EU.
